My Bucket List

There’s so much of the world I’d love to see and what seems like so little time to do it in. With that in mind, and when in doubt, I find a list is usually the best way to sort things out. Then when I start to panic again I’ll write it again.

I can’t imagine my bucket list will ever actually go down since there will always be new things I realise I want to do but it is still satisfying to cross things off. I didn’t realise that half those things were even on my bucket list until I actually did them and looked back in hindsight.

  1. Hello Ellis! Lovely blog. I am a travel/ adventure enthusiast and your bucket list is quite similar to what mine looks like. I saw you #51 item and I have a great suggestion of a travel club that organises amazing volunteering trips in africa and other continents. If you’d love to have a look, let me know..cheers

  2. For Niagara Falls, would you visit the Canadian side (most often featured in travel pics), American side or both?

    1. Thanks for your comment 😀 I would love to go to the Holi festival next year but sadly I think it may take me longer to save 😦 but hopefully one day in the not too distant future I’ll make it!!

  4. Yeah, it’s worth a shot. Fun it is here.

Do you mind if I ask you to tell me how you fund all your travel moves? I’ll love to travel across the world, but as usual funding is always a constraint. I hope if there’s any way of earning money while traveling the world 😉 Is there any? 🙂

    1. There are certainly ways of earning while travelling. I’ve never done it that way- I’ve always worked at home alongside my studies to pay for travelling- but I have friends who have taught abroad, worked in hostels/bars/restaurants or done jobs such as fruit picking. There are also websites such as Work Away, where you can work in return for accommodation, or couchsurfing. Hope that helps!

Workaway website is such an amazing opportunity to travel across and meet people of different countries. I just want you to talk to any friend of your’s and understand how was their experience. (Sorry if I’m asking too much). You may wish to inbox further talks. My email id is harsh.vitsol@gmail.com … help me connect with them. Thanks again. Super deal ! 😉

  6. Love the list! You’re very lucky to have done all the things you’ve done. If you ever need a travel partner, I’ll be in Brittany, France for two years and plan on getting out a lot!

  7. I had no idea I wanted to do half of the things you’ve listed here, but now reading them they sound incredible, and it sounds stupid but it’s completely opened up my eyes to the fact we do only live once, and the world is brimming with opportunities and new experiences! You’ve travelled fantastically, and please make sure you keep us all updated on your progress!

  10. Hi – great list!
I am also a list lover and wanderluster and can definitely get behind a lot of what you have put on your bucket list. Just a quick correction (from someone from that part of the world) – Hadrian’s Wall is technically in England, whereas you have it under Scotland on your list. By the way, can definitely recommend interrailing! Happy travelling!

    1. Thank you!! I’m glad you agree with my choices!
Thanks for the correction – I didn’t know that!!
I have heard that interrailing is awesome, I’m hoping to interrail around Italy in the not too distant future!

  11. Hey, I love your list it has inspired me to put thought into creating my own!
Just one question, volunteering on the Galapagos Islands, what is it that makes that location so special for you to volunteer in that location specifically?
    Happy travels!

  14. hello from Malaysia.
i’ve checked your bucket list and i can say that it does motivate me in having my own bucket list. i am just starting to travel as much as i can though my work doesn’t really allow me to do just that. but hey, i’ve been to bali before and i can see that you haven’t got any specific things to do there. you should hike Mount Batur. trust me, the view from that still-active volcano is worth every aches you’d get from that almost 3hours (or less) hiking.

and should i suggest you to come to Malaysia and climb our most renowned mount Kinabalu. and you can also go for a dive in Sipadan Island and experience yourself the beauty of our underwater world.

till then, good luck and may you will be able to cross-checked all of the lists that you have. =)
